明地溪谷从京畿道第二高峰明地山（海拔1,267 m）山顶向东延伸。山谷入口处提供多种便利设施，包括餐厅、公共卫生间和住宿。在山谷里，干净的水从岩石上倾泻而下。山谷入口两侧都是森林，有一条小路通往升天寺。明知瀑布距离山谷入口步行近一个小时，瀑布高仅7~8米，但秋天的景色却格外美丽。
