長慶寺は南漢山城の中にあります。北漢山城とともにソウルを守った南漢山城は、仁祖16年1638年に長慶寺と同時に建てられました。全国 8 つの州すべてから集まった戦士の僧侶が建設を手伝いました。長慶寺は、僧侶からなる軍事集団が訓練のために滞在した9つの寺院のうち、唯一現存する寺院である。
