弥勒大院石寺遗址，史迹第317号，位于忠清北道和庆尚北道之间的天空岭盆地，坐北朝南。相传新罗末代王子毛伊泰子，在前往金刚山途中做了一个梦，观世音菩萨指示他立佛像。于是，他在现弥勒里遗址建造了一座寺庙，以实现女神的愿望。寺庙的名称是清州大学在 1977 年和 1978 年通过发掘研究发现的，而梨花女子大学的一组研究人员于 1980 年对寺庙场地进行了更彻底的调查。
