大陵苑古墳群内には、1973 年に発掘された天馬塚があります。天馬塚は、岩と土を積み上げた地下室の中に木製の棺が置かれており、新羅時代の典型的な上流階級の墓として特徴付けられています。この塚は、高さ 12.7 メートル、直径 50 メートルを持ち、小川から集められた岩の層で構成されています。岩層の下には長さ 6.5 メートル、幅 2.1 メートル、高さ x_高さ 2.1 メートルに達する木の部屋があり、その中心に木の棺があります。陵内では、韓国初の古墳出土美術品として非常に価値の高い天馬堂を含む、計1万1526点の遺物が発見された。
