安山植物園於2001年開放，共有三個大廳。第一館（382.81平方公尺）是一個熱帶花園，有98種植物，其中包括棕櫚樹。第二館（846平方公尺）展示鳶尾等11科177種花卉植物。第三館（846平方公尺）展示沼澤植物4科177種。戶外花園包括玫瑰園、果樹園、野生植物園、植物演替園以及種植紅桃花等 46 種植物的池塘。植物公園內有一座金字塔形的現代化溫室，是安山市的驕傲。公園也與星湖公園相連。
