位於蘇里山西南側半山腰的蘇里山寺，建於六世紀新羅真興王統治時期。這座山也被稱為“佛見”，意思是“見佛”，因為據說有一位皇室成員在寺廟祈禱時看到了佛陀。該寺原本規模較大，院內有36棟建築，山上有132間隱修院，但這些設施在1592年至1598年的日本入侵朝鮮和1950年至1953年的朝鮮戰爭期間被完全摧毀。現在的寺廟是1955年重建的。這座山彷彿畫屏一樣環繞著寺廟。
