位于苏里山西南侧半山腰的苏里山寺，建于六世纪新罗真兴王统治时期。这座山也被称为“佛见”，意思是“见佛”，因为据说有一位皇室成员在寺庙祈祷时看到了佛陀。该寺原本规模较大，院内有36栋建筑，山上有132间隐修院，但这些设施在1592年至1598年的日本入侵朝鲜和1950年至1953年的朝鲜战争期间被完全摧毁。现在的寺庙是1955年重建的。通往苏里萨寺庙入口的道路风景优美，两侧是美丽的森林和山谷；这座山仿佛画屏一样环绕着寺庙。
