根據史料記載，自朝鮮王朝初期起，這裡就開始發展陶瓷業，因為陶土、白土、高嶺土等全國最好的陶瓷製作材料就出產於汶萊面舍里山附近。這裡的中層藝術家研究傳統陶瓷的製作過程，以及利用非常規方法創作的新穎作品。驪州陶瓷藝術中心不僅提供高品質的陶瓷，也為遊客提供了親眼目睹藝術作品製作過程的機會。擁有60多個個人展廳，陶瓷風格各異。每年五月，這裡都會舉辦節慶供遊客享受。
