돌산도 동해안에 자리잡은 잔잔한 바다와 방죽포해수욕장을 따라 반짝이는 금빛 모래사장에 잔잔한 파도가 찰랑이는 곳입니다. 근처에는 수령 200년이 넘는 나무들이 우거진 소나무숲이 있다. 이 지역은 해안에 있음에도 불구하고 신선한 내륙수가 풍부합니다. 바다 근처에는 무수히 많은 바위가 낚시하기에 좋습니다. 해변은 일출을 볼 수 있는 인기 있는 장소입니다. 또한 불교 신자들이 관세음보살에게 기도를 올리는 한국 4대 암자 중 하나인 향일암으로 가는 길에 위치해 있습니다.
