バラボン峰の名前の由来は、 逆さまにしたバリテ (寺院の僧侶が使用する木製の丼) に似ていることに由来しています。この山の特徴は、丸い斜面と春のツツジの花畑です。トレッキングは雲峰邑から1.5キロ離れた龍山村から始まります。トレイルは牧場の後ろにある森林保護区を抜けて頂上まで緩やかな道をたどります。頂上に到着する前の最後のセクションは、4 月下旬から 5 月にかけてツツジで埋め尽くされます。頂上からの眺めは智異山の全景が一望できる。
