한국도로공사수목원(전주수목원)은 전국의 비교적 따뜻한 지역에 위치해 있으며 해발 20~30m에 이른다. 한국도로공사가 운영하는 이 정원은 일반인에게 무료로 개방되는 비영리 수목원입니다. 정원은 1972년 고속도로 건설로 인해 훼손된 지역 환경을 복원하기 위해 종묘장을 시작으로 조성되었습니다. 건축업자들은 1983년에 식물을 수집하기 시작했고 결국 1992년에 정원을 열었습니다. 현재 수목원에는 연간 평균 200,000명의 방문객이 방문하고 있습니다. 다양한 식물종을 바탕으로 다양한 체험 프로그램과 여름 교육 프로그램을 운영하고 있습니다.
