GYEONGSANGBUK-DO WEATHER

예천천문우주센터는 2004년 11월 개관한 테마파크이다. 예천천문과학문화센터는 예천별천문대를 구축, 운영하고 있다. 방문객들은 공원 내 숙박시설에 머물면서 대형 망원경을 통해 머나먼 우주를 관측하고, 무중력 등 우주환경도 체험할 수 있다. 관측실에서는 컴퓨터에 의해 자동 조종되는 508mm(20인치) 반사망원경으로 우주의 모습을 관찰할 수 있다. 보조관측실에서는 4중 태양망원경을 이용해 태양 표면의 흑점과 거대한 불기둥을 관찰할 수 있다. 천문투영실은 디지털 천문 프로젝터와 영상 프로젝터가 설치되어 있는 '우주극장'으로, 계절별 별자리 등 천문우주와 관련된 영상이 천장의 반구형 돔 스크린에 상영된다. 예천별천문대에서는 낮 동안 태양을 가르며 솟아오르는 불기둥과 지구보다 큰 흑점을 관찰할 수 있다. 밤에는 별이 태어나고 죽는 은하계와 성운, 성단을 관찰할 수 있으며, 지구와 가장 가까운 천체인 달은 표면에 크고 작은 운석 분화구를 갖고 있다. 예천별천문대에는 이보다 더 재미있는 체험이 많아요.
