雲峴宮是位於首爾鐘路區雲裡洞的歷史遺跡。該住所屬於高宗皇帝的父親興宣大院君，是這位未來皇帝小時候長大的地方。儘管該住宅是王室的私人住宅而不是政治事務場所，但一些最重要的歷史事件發生在朝鮮王朝末期的雲峴宮王宮內。
高宗年紀輕輕就被任命為國王，興宣大院君作為攝政王掌權。在此期間，雲峴宮進行了大規模整修，規模不斷擴大，更加宏偉。興宣大院君退位後，雲峴宮的聲譽慢慢惡化，因為家族陷入經濟困難，無力維護設施。該住宅的所有權於 1912 年被日本政府沒收，並於 1948 年歸還給興宣大院君的後裔。 。 |
