明洞主教座堂是首爾總教區的教堂，也是韓國羅馬天主教會的發源地。教堂內保存著幾位人士的遺骸：主教洛朗·約瑟夫·瑪麗安伯特（1796-1839 年）、牧師彼得·西蒙（1803-1839 年）、詹姆斯（雅克·奧諾爾·查斯坦，1803 -1839 年）和普爾蒂·讓·安托萬·查爾斯（1830-1866 年）和四位烈士。
明洞天主教堂位於首爾市中心，經常有遊客前來參觀。大教堂附近還有其他旅遊景點，如保留韓國傳統房屋的南山谷韓屋村、俯瞰首爾的 N 首爾塔以及出售各種食品和商品的傳統市場南大門市場。 |
