문화재로 등록된 하포서원은 고려시대 학자 안향의 위패를 모신 곳이다. 서원은 1716년 선비의 후손들이 설립한 것으로, 조선 후기 서원 기관 대부분을 폐쇄하라는 왕의 명령이 내려질 때까지 정기적으로 제사를 지냈습니다. 1949년 전국 218개 향교의 동의를 받아 하포서원을 부속기관으로 재건하였다.
