Deokryongsan Mountain, which is connected to Duryunsan Mountain in Haenam, barely exceeds 400m in height, but is in no way inferior to mountains 1,000m above sea level. This mountain, which consists of the East Peak, West Peak, and Twin Peaks, shows the essence of the beauty and power that ridges can express, such as the majestic and sharp rock ridges that rise like the tip of a spear, and the grassland ridges between rock ridges. Because not many people visit it, it is also a mountain where you can enjoy the secrets of nature.
Hiking on Deokryongsan Mountain begins at Soseokmun Gorge, which is called the Sogeumgang River of Gangjin, and goes up the ridge to Dongbong and Seobong and follows the signposts on the eastern slope down to Suyang-ri. Those who are confident in long-distance hiking can hike Dongsa-myeon after finishing Amreung hiking. You can either descend towards Suyang Reservoir or take the Meadow Ridge - Jakcheon Major - Suyang Tourist Farm course. The hiking course that connects Soseokmun - Dong·Seobong - Jakcheon Major - Suyang Tourist Farm takes about 6 hours. It is known as a very interesting hiking trail because it goes up and down along the ridge. Prepare water to drink before starting the hike. It's good to do it.
