The Korean Film Museum opened in 2008 and was registered as a national museum in 2015. It introduces over 100 years of Korean film history, from when the film medium first came to Korea to today.
It is divided into permanent exhibitions and special exhibitions. The permanent exhibition introduces the history of Korean films in chronological order and also operates an experience zone. Special exhibitions are held on a variety of topics so that Korean films can be viewed and enjoyed from a new perspective. The educational program we operate provides various opportunities to strengthen media capabilities from theory to production for children, teenagers, and adults in order to expand their understanding of film and video media and foster independent and active content users and creators. |
