Jeju Gimnyeong Maze is located between Manjanggul Cave and Gimnyeongsa Cave, famous tourist attractions in Jeju City, Jeju Island. It is a maze where side paths are made between tall trees, and once you enter, you will lose your sense of direction and be confused as to where to come out. It is Korea's first maze park, which was created by American professor F.H. Dustin, who retired from Jeju National University, by digging the ground, carrying and pouring soil, and planting trees by hand since 1983. It is the work of Adrian Flsher Minotaur Maze Designs, a world-famous British maze designer.
The tree lining the water wall of Gimnyeong Maze Park is an evergreen tree that is green all year round, and its scent lifts the human spirit. It has a clearing effect and relieves psychological pressure. The red-colored floor of the maze is made of Jeju's natural volcanic stones, which have the effect of purifying polluted air and promoting blood circulation in the human body.
