울산 간절곶은 끝점이 바다로 튀어나와 있어 우리나라에서 가장 먼저 매일 일출을 볼 수 있는 곳이다. 곶은 매년 새해 일출 축제가 열리는 곳입니다. 축제는 12월 31일 해질녘에 시작하여 밤새도록 계속되는 다양한 공연으로 가득 차 있습니다. 동이 트면 사람들이 두 손을 모으고 조용히 서서 바다 위로 떠오르는 해를 바라보며 새해를 기원하는 모습을 볼 수 있습니다.
