蔚山のカンジョルゴ岬は韓国で最初に日の出が見られる場所で、その終点が海に突き出ています。岬では毎年恒例の初日の出祭りが開催されます。フェスティバルは 12 月 31 日の日没に始まり、一晩中さまざまなパフォーマンスが繰り広げられます。最初に明るくなると、海から昇る太陽を眺めながら、人々が静かに手を合わせて立ち、誕生の年への願いを込めているのが見えます。
