最初被稱為谷島，因外觀有白色翅膀而更名為現在的白翎島。它是韓國第八大島，也是距離北韓最近的島嶼。由於其地理位置優越，遊客在遊覽島嶼之前必須接受安全檢查。
白翎島以眾多景點和新鮮海鮮而聞名，該地區生活著多種魚類。杜木津雄偉的海崖據說是一位舊神的最後的傑作。島上的其他景點包括兩層樓高的深清閣；水崖岩是韓國唯一可以看到海豹的地方；薩戈特海岸是世界上僅有的兩個擁有矽藻土的地方之一，其強度足以讓軍用飛機在上面行駛並用作跑道。 |
