범륜사는 경기도 용인시 문수산 자락에 위치해 있으며 극락보전, 관음전, 삼성각, 범종각 등의 건물로 이루어져 있다.
430㎡ 규모의 대웅전은 남방불교 양식으로 한자 '亞'(아)의 개방형 형태로 지어졌다. 백두산 자생 적송으로 지은 이 불상에는 무게 53톤(석굴암 석굴의 3배)에 달하는 석불상과 무게 33톤의 문수보현성인상이 모셔져 있다. 왼쪽 벽에는 신중림 104존상과 동진보살상이 모셔져 있다. 불교 신자들의 헌신을 상징하는 불상 1,250개도 있다. |
