京畿道龍仁市文殊山の麓に位置する梵蓮寺は、興楽宝殿、観音殿、三聖閣、梵鐘閣などの建物で構成されています。
430 平方メートルの広大な大雄殿は、南方仏教様式で漢字の「亞」（「阿」）の開いた形で建てられています。白頭山の在来種の赤松で作られたこの堂には、重さ 53 トンの石仏仏像 (石窟庵の仏像の 3 倍の大きさ) と、重さ 33 トンの石造文殊宝賢聖像が安置されています。左側の壁には 104 体の神中ニム (仏法の守護者) と東津博安仏教聖人像が建てられています。仏教信者の献身を象徴する 1,250 体の聖人像もあります。 |
