忠州中央塔公园是塔平里（国宝）七层石塔的所在地，坐落在南汉江的美丽景色前。该石塔建于统一新罗时期，是当时最大的石塔。由于它位于国家中部，因此被称为“中央塔”（“中央”在韩语中的意思是“中间”）。塔周围辟为雕塑公园，有来自全国各地艺术家的26件艺术作品。
