东莱邑城遗址是山地与平原相结合的代表性城池。该城建于高丽末期和朝鲜初期，是 1592 年日本侵略朝鲜期间的激烈战场。战争结束后，该城被废弃，直到 1731 年进行了翻修，使城池比以前更大。堡垒有许多门，并附加半圆形岩墙来保护门。日据时期，城墙大部分被毁，只剩下南山一带的城墙。 2000年以后，釜山市尝试挖掘遗迹，保护并修复要塞遗址。
