尺板岩庵最初由一位名叫元曉的僧侶於 673 年建造，其傳說至今仍流傳，並於 1938 年由另一位名叫慶熙的僧侶修復。隱修院坐落在佛光山的森林中，可欣賞周圍的壯麗景色。它位於長安寺附近，也是由元曉和尚建造的。
