楊林洞傳教士公墓是 23 名傳教士的最後安息之地，他們將基督教帶到了光州，並領導了將國家從日本殖民統治下解放出來的運動。光州廣域市楊林洞是裴裕智神父和克萊門特·歐文博士作為首批全羅南道傳教士開展工作的主要地區。
作為其外展活動的一部分，裴玉吉神父建立了珍妮·斯皮爾女子紀念學校。歐文博士致力於為教會服務，並與他的護士妻子一起提供醫療服務。 附近有一座紀念裴有濟神父的紀念碑，以及為紀念歐文博士及其祖父而建的歐文紀念大樓。這兩座紀念碑都是文化資產，尤其受到基督教信仰當地人的珍視。 |
