杨林洞传教士公墓是 23 名传教士的最后安息之地，他们将基督教带到了光州，并领导了将国家从日本殖民统治下解放出来的运动。光州广域市杨林洞是裴裕智神父和克莱门特·欧文博士作为首批全罗南道传教士开展工作的主要地区。
作为其外展活动的一部分，裴玉吉神父建立了珍妮·斯佩尔女子纪念学校。欧文博士致力于为教会服务，并与他的护士妻子一起提供医疗服务。 附近有一座纪念裴有济神父的纪念碑，以及为纪念欧文博士及其祖父而建的欧文纪念大楼。这两座纪念碑都是文化资产，尤其受到基督教信仰当地人的珍视。 |
