Description of art	“Eductive Image 1” (1987) is one of the “Dokdo” series, depicting dusky Dokdo as if shrouded in a blanket of fog by employing the ink wash effect that applies variation of light and shade of ink. Focused on the horizontal line, he expressed deeply abstracted abstractionism by simple form where the real Dokdo reencounters a reflected image on the water. The title does not simply mean delivering an accurate landscape reflected on the eyes, but the essence of true view landscape painting: landscape reflected on the eyes of mind. By doing so, Lee expresses his will to carry on the spirit of Gyeom Jae.
