Description of art	“As It Is Becoming (Seoul, Korea)” (2008) is a single-channel video where Yoon explores each and every corner of Seoul?including intersections downtown, backstreets in a poor hillside village, and luxury shops in Cheongdam-dong?all while crawling along atop a small wooden board with wheels. Jin-Me Yoon has utilized her identity and body as the means of self-expression. She encounters a compressed urban life, as the memories of her home country have become erased?namely those of the city of Seoul, which has gone through dramatic change and development every single day since she went to Canada at the age of eight?as she attempts to remember and experience the city with every fiber of her body. This work is an exploration of body, city, and the historical correlation with an era of accelerated globalization.
