Description of art	“Dis?illusion_Coin_Face” (2007) is composed of a six-minute twochannel video which captures coins from around the world being ground by a machine. In the repetitive video images, coins with faces of great men are ground up at first and “revived” in the reverse motion video into coins with animals and plants embossed on them. Through “Disillusion”, Shin shows coins turn into a handful of powder and regenerate to send the message that all meaning and value are an illusion in the end, and that the world we live in is countless repetitions of “creation” and “extinction” through the work entitled “Disillusion”, meaning awakening or disillusionment.
