Description of art	〈Dizziness 1 〉(1994/2006) was completed in 2006 after re-working his 1994 painting. One summer day, Hwang Sejun saw two dogs sitting in front of a vending machine; the black dog was lying on its stomach on the floor while the yellow dog was sitting down. Hwang mentioned later that he liked the work painted with lemon yellow color after finishing the esquisse in a hurry, but he ruined it as he proceeded further. The artist discovered the painting again in early 2006 when he was moving it to a large studio and decided to complete it. The colors and methods used by Hwang in this work are unique. The paint is applied very thinly, and other shapes besides the two dogs are made up of vertical and horizontal strokes, which makes the work look like an abstract painting. The title “Dizziness” is related to a mirage on the asphalt on a hot summer day, or reminds one of the experiences of being dizzy from the heat in summer.
