除夕和新年第一天的正东津日出节，许多人来到沙漏公园庆祝新的开始。公园内的沙漏直径8.06米，宽3.2米，重40吨，可容纳沙子8吨，是世界上最大的沙漏之一。沙子需要一整年的时间才能流到底部，然后每年元旦午夜沙漏又重新开始。
