東城路是大邱青年文化的中心。它是中央商務區，距離大邱站十字路口綿延 900 公尺。這條路建於1907年，位於大邱邑城舊東城牆遺址上。這條街還可以進一步劃分為不同主題的區域，如校洞珠寶街、炒年糕胡同、手袋胡同、夜市胡同等。 2009年，該地區被指定為全國首個公共交通專用區。
