大邱樹木園位於舊衛生垃圾掩埋場的遺址上。從1996年到2002年5月開放，該地區的修復經歷了多個階段。該植物園是大邱市民的生態教育中心和休息區。暑假期間定期舉辦針對學生和幼兒的生態體驗活動。附近的景點包括前山公園和頭流公園以及八公山和碧瑟山。
