鹿洞書院建於 1789 年，是為了紀念金正宣將軍 (1571-1642)，他在臨津戰爭 (1592-1598) 期間為韓國抵禦日本侵略做出了巨大貢獻。該學院於1868年關閉，1885年恢復。如今，金將軍的牌位被供奉在這個大廳裡，每年三月都會在這裡舉行追悼會。鹿洞書院附近的景點包括鹿洞寺、崇貴堂、香門和碑石。
