昭陽湖與忠州湖齊名，是韓國最大的人工湖之一，建於 1973 年，當時世界第四大水壩昭陽水壩高 123 公尺。連接春川和麟蹄的60公里水道是一條可以欣賞內雪岳美麗山巒和溪流的路線。上游的麟蹄段有鯉魚、鯽魚、皮魚、鱂魚、胡公魚等多種魚類，吸引了許多遊客和漁民。軍竹橋、富平、官大里、上水里漁港等地區都設有釣魚點。另外，從12月到3月，軍竹橋附近的湖面部分結冰時，可以在冰蓋上打洞，享受冰釣西太公魚的樂趣。
