華川郡的和平大壩是為了應對北韓潛在的洪水襲擊而建造的。第一期工程於1986年動工，1989年完工；第二階段需要提高大壩的 x_高度，於 2002 年開始，於 2005 年結束。
多年來，大壩已成為主要的旅遊目的地。設有水文化中心、人工牆溪、休息區等文化娛樂設施。它也靠近 DMZ 以及 Bimok 公園、Bisugumi 山谷和 Suhari 釣魚場等自然地標。 |
