龍淵池以其美麗的夜景而聞名，是由山谷盡頭的淡水在與鹹水相遇之前形成的。池塘很深，根本看不到底部。橫跨池塘的木製龍淵雲橋和涼亭與山谷景觀融為一體。相傳這座池塘是由一條升天的龍降下的水形成的。這個名字的意思是“龍池”，也源自於人們相信西邊 200 公尺處的龍頭岩（龍頭岩）的龍會來到這個池子裡玩耍。
