龍遊島海岸線長48.2公里，總面積13.603平方公里，鄰近新佛島、三木島、永宗島、大舞衣島、長峰島、魔島、西島、新島等島嶼。龍遊島和永宗島曾經透過一座橋連接起來。當仁川國際機場建在兩島之間的填海土地上時，這兩個島嶼連為一體。
