興仁之門是為了保護漢城府而建的，漢城府歷史上曾是重要的政府設施。興仁之門是八座城門中位於首爾城外牆東側的城門。它也被稱為東大門。大門於1396年太祖5年建造，1453年端宗時期重修，1869年高宗6年1869年新建。
大門有一個四坡屋頂，在兩層建築上有五個前隔間和兩個側隔間。薄弱的鬥拱體系支撐著屋簷，裝飾過度，體現了北韓後期的建築特色。另外，城外有半圓形的甕城，是保護城門的小牆。 興仁之門的獨特之處之一是，它是首爾八座城門中唯一擁有甕城的，也進一步展示了朝鮮後期的建築風格。 |
