Biamsa 寺的起源尚不清楚，但寺廟的建築特徵表明它建於高麗王朝中期（918-1392）。寺內的極樂寶殿和三層寶塔被指定為忠清南道文化遺產。極樂寶殿內的火焰楊木和精心製作的天蓋於孝宗八年（1657年）修復。
極樂寶殿前的院子裡矗立著三公尺高的三祥石塔。隨著塔頂附近三面雲像石像的發現，扁巖寺變得更加為大眾所熟知。石像中，雞鳴明傳寺阿彌陀佛三尊石像被指定為國寶第106號，基竹明阿彌陀佛濟佛菩薩石像和彌勒菩薩方石像被指定為國寶第106號。號。石像現保存於韓國國立中央博物館。同時，三層石塔於1985年7月19日被指定為忠清南道第119號有形文化財產。 |
