無覺寺坐落在光州商業中心汝矣山腳下，是一座城市佛教寺廟。與其他城市佛教寺廟不同，無覺寺擁有傳統寺廟的所有要素。該寺廟被用作沒有任何宗教障礙的文化休息區和會議藝術場所。這座寺廟也是通往5.18紀念公園的2公里步道的起點，導致遊客絡繹不絕。
