大邱树木园位于旧卫生垃圾填埋场的遗址上。从1996年到2002年5月开放，该地区的修复经历了多个阶段。这里有21个花园，种植着数千种植物，包括巨型仙人掌、花卉、药草和树木。该植物园是大邱市民的生态教育中心和休息区。暑假期间定期举办针对学生和幼儿的生态体验活动。附近的景点包括前山公园和头流公园以及八公山和碧瑟山。
