庆尚北道植物园成立于 2001 年 9 月 17 日。该植物园展示来自韩国东海岸郁陵岛的当地植物，郁陵岛拥有一个特殊的生态系统，包括珍稀树木和野花。植物园共有高山植物园、郁陵岛原生植物园、针叶树园等24个花园。
