外古山瓮器村是陶器大师许德万于1975年定居该地区时建立的。如今，村里展示着大量各种陶器产品，形成了独特的景观。全国50%以上的陶器产品是在这个村庄制作的。该村还拥有多个景点供游客参观，例如蔚山瓮器博物馆，该博物馆收藏了吉尼斯世界纪录中最大的陶器；以及一年一度的蔚山瓮器节，活动项目丰富多彩。
