청라언덕은 20세기 초 기독교 선교사들이 거주하며 담쟁이덩굴을 많이 심었던 곳이다. 대구 중심부의 동쪽에 위치해 있어 동산청라언덕이라고도 불린다. 이 아름다운 정원에는 참니스의 집, 스위처의 집, 블레어 총리의 집, 90계단, 대구 3.1운동의 길, 대구 최초의 서양식 사과나무, '내 친구 생각'이라는 노래가 새겨진 기념비, 청라언덕은 선교사 가족 묘역이자 대구 길거리 관광 2코스의 출발지이자 드라마 촬영지로도 유명한 곳이다.
