비금계곡은 맑은 물이 많이 흘러 물골안(물골안)이라고도 불린다. 이 지역은 서리산, 축령산, 주금산, 천마산 등의 산으로 둘러싸여 있고 여러 계곡이 있다. 비금계곡은 수동국가관광지의 가장 상류에 위치하며 약 2km에 걸쳐 펼쳐진다. 울창한 숲이 시원한 그늘을 제공하고, 경치 좋은 계곡에 맑고 깨끗한 물이 흐르고 있어 인기 휴양지이다.
