창동예술촌은 쇠퇴하는 도심 지역에 상권을 되살리기 위해 조성됐다. 텅 빈 마을은 도시와 밀접하게 연결되어 도시적이고 트렌디한 예술 마을로 탈바꿈했습니다. 예술마을의 주요 컨셉은 도시의 강점을 예술과 융합하여 도시재생을 이루는 것이다. 1950~60년대 문화예술의 중심지였던 도시는 소위 '예술을 통한 도시재생' 과정을 거쳤다.
문신예술골목, 마산산책길 예술골목, 에꼴드창동골목 등 3개의 주요 골목과 50여개의 예술시설, 12개의 공방 등 체험 프로그램이 가능한 다양한 볼거리가 있다. |
