외고산 옹기마을은 1975년 토기 명인 허덕만 선생이 이곳에 정착하면서 형성됐다. 오늘날 이 마을에는 다양한 토기 제품이 대량 소장되어 있어 독특한 광경을 연출한다. 전국 토기의 50% 이상이 이 마을에서 만들어진다. 이 마을에는 기네스북에 등재된 최대 규모의 토기를 소장하고 있는 울산 옹기박물관, 다양한 활동 프로그램을 갖춘 울산 옹기축제도 매년 개최됩니다.
